Rev. John Doroski - Philippine Pioneering Experiences

Ancestor Co-oporation through Time Period Conditions

As I have explained, my training by HF in Kuwait caused me to think, “daily activity based on restoration courses centered on time-periods”; therefore we started the year 1979 with a 7-day witnessing condition followed by a 3 day workshop.

This action produced immediate results of both new members moving in and intense spirit world cooperation with our physical activity. In January 1979, I remember one evening after our 3 day workshop in the Cubao center (Manila) two different new members  become totally taken over by spirit ancestors who had lived on the earth before and their each having a competition to see who could influence or even control our new, fledging movement.

One spirit person walked around in a member’s body directing us to bless the center with “holy water” and do various conditions based on the number 5 and the other spirit person using another member’s physical body walked around yelling don’t listen to that, but bless the center using “holy salt” and make conditions based on the number 4. Guess what we did not listen to either, caused them to get lost and methodically proceed to pioneer the nation based on the methods True Father taught us.

In February 1979 we learned, one of a newly joined member, Gloria, becaming paralyzed and in a type of coma, Nanette and I then took a few members to visit her at her mother’s hut.  After we arrived, while she was still asleep actual historic biblical figure starting talking through her to us, describing their personal mission success and failures while they were on earth and then gave us advice. We fulfilled a requested condition to return for a total of seven days. On the six day Moses spoke through Gloria and told me personally I would have the mission of Moses of the Philippines.

On the seventh day, one of Rev. Moons 36 couple brothers, who had died started entering Gloria spiritually and gave us guidance; many members were attending the last few sessions with Gloria.

For the next three months President Eu, the first President of the Unification Church in Korea would enter Gloria’s body at any time of the day and counseled members, guidemy leadership and healed physical bodies. Gloria, 17 years old and young looking, would be sitting at a table and all of a sudden her head would flop on her chest and then rise slowly, her face would have changed into that of an old person, wrinkled and her voice very deep and masculine, that of an old mans. When the spirit person left, her head would again flop on her chest and slowly rise, she would take deep

breathes and then drink 3 or 4 large glasses of water at once. She then became her normal self, in physical appearance and in voice. At the end of three months I noticed a qualitative change in the communication through Gloria and realized President Eu was no longer working through Gloria, but another spirit person pretending to be President Eu and we stopped responding to this spiritual phenomena. A key lesson from President Eu was that high spiritual people understood free will of another being, respected such and would not attempt to control people on the earth, merely give advice allowing receivers to discover themselves in various ways understandings, but low spirits could be distinguished by their attempts to control and even possess people on this earth by causing individuals or groups to become “dependant” on the spirit persons and spirit world; this was often done through telling about future events, revealing secrets, or making decisions for the listeners.

Reasons for the Pioneering Success in the Philippines
From January 1st 1979, we proceeded with back to back numerological witnessing conditions: two 7-day witnessing conditions each followed by a 3-day workshop; then two 21-day witnessing conditions, each followed by a 7-day workshop, etc. Many members joined during this initial focused witnessing and so quickly we developed a happy problem, no space to teach the lectures in each evening, all rooms and the front and back yard became filled with lectures taking place and a crowded center of inspired new members; our solution to the overcrowding – pioneer new centers across the Philippines.
However, there is more to the story of why results built upon results so quickly, some causes were:

    • The great indemnity foundation of:  True Parents, the historically invaded and humble, peaceful Filipino, religious people and later by the many unification missionaries who spent periods in the Philippines
    • Unity between the missionaries.
    • Everyone was taught to be a lecturer and guests were not allowed to hear chapter 2, until they practiced teaching chapter 1, themselves
    • Lecture Charts allowing anyone to be able immediately teach lectures and thus develop a deeper understanding of DP through explaining the concepts.
    • Mother Nanette’s heartistic concern making sure all new members had towels, soap dishes and more importantly taking them by the hand to local dentists for needed medical treatment.
    • Team Witnessing – Most of the time members went witnessing in groups and love bombed contacts who usually, immediately responded by coming to hear lectures.
    • Foodraising – A pattern I learned from HF when pioneering Texas in 1973. The Philippine members and leaders only ate bought rice and whatever else was donated to us at the average class marketplace. We would dress up in white barangay shirts, wore an ID badge, explained our mission, and then ask for a donation of food; such a activity was very humbling to the new members and when food was given by the poor of the Philippine’s to us, we then had to check ourselves and be serious that we were truly working for the Will of God. The kind of very humble lifestyle of all who joined the movement in the early days ensured that people were not joining for the wrong reason like to take advantage of the foreign missionaries’ financial resources.
    • Joy making – The first centers were filled with feet stomping singing and care for each other.
    • The leadership eating and sleeping in the same situations as the members.
